Signature Program

 

Alpha Gamma Chapter has actively promoted Omega Phi Beta’s national philanthropy, raising awareness of violence against women, at local, national and international levels through their work with VDay.  Over the years, Alpha Gamma Chapter Sisters have used community-centered arts and activism to raise awareness through V-day performances but also to raise over $20,000 to help end violence against women.

 

  • 2007: produced a bilingual version of Eve Ensler’s Vagina Monologues

  • 2008: produced a bilingual performance of Eve Ensler’s A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant, and a Prayer.

  • 2009: hosted Vagina Monologues

  • 2011: produced two performances of A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and a Prayer, including one performance by an Greek-lettered cast

  • 2013: organized and ran a silent auction for a production of What I Want my Words to Do to You on behalf of Jubilee Housing and received a Vagina Warrior award of recognition from Jubilee

  • 2014: fundraised and volunteered for a production of What I Want My Words to Do to You

  • 2015: partnered with American University and supported their production of the Vagina Monologues. 

  • 2017: produced a performance of Eve Ensler's A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant, and a Prayer with beneficiary N Street Village.
